Aguero Beats Hazard, De Bruyne To EPL January Best Player Award

​Argentina and Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for January.

Aguero scored five goals in four games for Manchester City in January to beat off competition from his teammate Kevin De Bruyne, as well as Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertongen (both of Spurs), Eden Hazard (Chelsea) and Callum Wilson (Bournemouth).

So far this season, Aguero has scored 29 goals in all competitions, including 21 in the English Premier League.

The Argentine striker is two goals away from his 200th for the Club.

Aguero is expected to lead Manchester City’s attack when they face Wigan in the fifth round of the English FA Cup on Monday night.

He will also be in action for Argentina when they face Nigeria in the group stage at the Russia 2018 World Cup.
